At Digestive Healthcare Center, we are a group of physicians specialized in gastroenterology, the medical field dedicated to digestive health.
We are always striving to fulfill the triple aim of better care, better service, and a lower cost. We are the first Gastroenterology practice in New Jersey to implement the Global Colonoscopy Contract which fixes the rising price of this life-saving procedure so that more patients can avail themselves of it.
Our practice is located in Central Jersey with offices in Hillsborough, Somerville, and Warren. We are privileged at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset. We are also affiliated and co-located with the Central New Jersey Ambulatory Surgery Center in Hillsborough, where most of our procedures are performed.

Is it Simple Heartburn — or Is it GERD?

Nearly everyone has heartburn now and then. But heartburn is also the most common symptom of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), so talk to your doctor if:

  • Your heartburn happens 2 or more times a week
  • Your heartburn gets worse
  • Your heartburn happens at night and wakes you from sleep
  • You’ve had heartburn now and then, but for several years
  • You have difficulty or pain when swallowing
  • Your discomfort or pain interferes with your daily activities

GERD treatments range from lifestyle or diet measures to the use of medication or surgical procedures. If you have signs of GERD, get an accurate diagnosis, work with your doctor, and receive the most effective treatment available.
