Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorothea kicked off the closing week of their fundraising campaign for the Ocean county The B.E.A.T. (Bringing Everyone All Together) Center by attending the Food Bank For New York City’s annual Can Do Awards dinner which raised a record $2.4 million. Hosted by super chef Mario Batali, the Bon Jovis were joined by Saturday Night Live veteran Mike Meyers, REM rock band veteran Michael Stipe, singer Lesidi, and comedian Aziz Ansari, among others.

Perhaps that is what inspired the Bon Jovis to provide some extra incentive to the donors and fundraising teams as they race down the home stretch to April 26:

They have decided to join Oceans First in matching the total donations one-to-one made through CrowdRise up to $100,000. That means the B.E.A.T. Center could end up with $300,000 in donations.

And don’t forget that there are other incentives are being offered, including gifts and an invitation to the B.E.A.T. Center’s grand opening reception!

Help make the B.E.A.T. Center a reality and join the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and Peoples Pantry, and continue the helping of New Jersey families to combat the issues of food insecurity.
