HHS is offering a special enrollment period through April 15 for individuals who made a good faith effort to enroll before the March 31 deadline, but were unable to complete the process because of technical problems, a family or medical emergency, or other exceptional circumstances.
On or before April 15, go to healthcare.gov for full details and to complete your application, or call healthcare.gov toll-free at 1-800-318-2596. For questions, you can also phone the NJCA Consumer Health Helpline toll-free at 1-888-NJ GET WELL (1-888-654-3893). If you do not secure insurance, you may have to pay a penalty.
