June is #MensHealthMonth — it’s all about raising awareness about health issues affecting men and boys, and encouraging men & boys to live a safe, healthy lifestyle. There are many health issues that impact boys and men in the U.S:

Men are seven times more likely to commit suicide than women.

Prostate health is a very important issue: click to .

Fibromyalgia is assumed to primarily affect women – but men have it too!

Every year, there are about 20 million new sexually transmitted infections. 1 in 8 people with HIV don’t know it; each year, there are 50,000 new HIV infections.

Breast cancer is a men’s health issue too! More than 2500 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year.

Men’s sexual health can also impact their physical health: erectile dysfunction is an early sign of cardiovascular disease.

Men are less likely to see their doctor about a health issue than women.

This #MensHealthMonth, remind your husband, partner, father, brother, grandfather, or friend to keep themselves in good health by making all their appointments with their health care providers!

The best way to participate is by encouraging your male loved ones to keep themselves in good health by exercising, eating right, and regularly seeing their doctor!
