The Nathan & Sally Rogoff Scholarship for Academic Excellence

Amount: $1,000

Award based on (evaluative priority order): Response to essay questions, GPA, SAT score, strength of letters of recommendation, involvement in extra-curriculum activities and volunteer/community service


The Caroline Rose Foster Scholarship for Independence and Self-Determination

Amount: $1,000

Award based on (evaluative priority order): Response to essay questions, strength of letters of recommendation, GPA, and SAT score.


The Cathy and Herb Bodensiek Scholarship for Students Majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Business Administration

Amount: $2,000

Award based on (evaluative priority order): Candidate must major in STEM or Business Administration; Response to essay questions, GPA, SAT score, strength of letters of recommendation, involvement in extra-curriculum activities and volunteer/community service; financial need.


The Mary Louise Buckley Scholarship for Students Majoring in Health Services or Communications

Amount: $5,000

Award based on (evaluative priority order): Candidate must major in Health Services or Communications; Involvement in extra-curriculum activities; volunteer and community service activities; response to essay questions, GPA, SAT score; strength of letters of recommendation; financial need.


Eligibility Requirements: Resident of New Jersey; Active/Eligible NJCBVI Client; Individuals of any age who will be registered to attend college during the 2022 – 2023 academic year; College students in their freshman, sophomore, junior or senior year of studies; Graduate students or college seniors who will pursue a graduate or doctoral level education.

Applicant must demonstrate: A minimum GPA of 2.5; Community involvement/service to others; financial need (Buckley and Bodensiek scholarships only)

Qualified Institutions And Level of Study: Two-year college; Four-year college; Graduate School; Accredited technical career or trade school.

All colleges and schools must be located within the United States. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered. Notices will not be sent to students who are missing necessary documentation.

The application must be completed online at https://cbvi-facts.dhs.state.nj.us/scholarships/ or e-mailed as an attachment to CBVI.Scholarship@dhs.nj.gov by midnight of April 20, 2022.
