I have a friend who desperately needs help. I am hoping you will join me in giving to her and her three children in their time of need.

The children are adopted, aged 9, 10, and 14, and have children have special needs. She succeeded in working with her oldest to the point where he is functioning very well in a very rigorous high school environment. A few years ago, she was diagnosed with cancer, and recently been given the news that the cancer may have spread to other parts of her body.

She has already undergone multiple operations that have severely affected her ability to function. She has not been able to work and her medical issues have exhausted all of her funds. is facing potential foreclosure on her home and will be unable to afford to purchase gifts for her children at Christmas.

I am hoping we can raise as much as we can over the next few weeks. Monies collected will go towards Christmas gifts, trying to catch her up on her mortgage, and daily expenses such as gas and food.

If you can’t give, but can offer a prayer for her and her babies, that would be very welcome, too. Your help at this time means so much to me, and I know it will mean so very much to her. Anything you can do to alleviate any amount of her stress would be a gift in itself. Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!

Anna Sellecchia Carpino, mother of Mario Carpino, died of a brain tumor and cancer at the age of 46.

Her mission in life after Mario was diagnosed with inoperable but stable brain tumors was to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Her passion was organizing events to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand and Kisses for Kyle Foundation.

Mario helped by inviting his favorite musician, fellow Jersey boy Jon Bon Jovi, to attend his annual Lemonade Stand events: In 2014, Jon showed up at one in Woolrich NJ, and they reunited in 2018 during Bon Jovi’s This House Is Not For Sale concert tour.
