Rat Rockers! Great job and a big shout out for helping the LADACIN Network raise $70,000 for this year’s polar plunge!
LADACIN Network is a non-profit agency whose mission is to provide people of Monmouth and Ocean counties who have complex physical and developmental disabilities or delays with educational, therapeutic, social, residential and support services.
At WRAT (The Rat Rocks) Radio 95.9-FM, we are all about giving back and showing our love and support for the Jersey shore and our community, and we could not do it without your help.
Rat disc jockey Gotts and the station’s “Rat pack” staff went out to Leggett’s Sand Bar in Manasquan and joined in on the fun with over 200 brave people who hit the ice-cold Atlantic Ocean. The water and air temp might have been cold, but the love and support in our hearts definitely raised them.
This plunge has been going for 15 years strong and brings new people in every year, and as my boy Joe Russell says, everyone is welcome, and he loves seeing new faces every year.
He started this beautiful event and loved every second of doing it. Right before the plunge we walked in with $54,000 — and what a turnaround to bring it up to $70,000 by Plunge day!
The LADACIN Network also raises funds via golf outings, and of course, their Rosebud Gala at the Eatontown Sheraton is coming up this April 1st.
Keep up the great work, Rat Rockers, and thank you for always coming out, showing your love, and giving back to so many who need our support — and thank you for always rocking out with WRAT Rat Radio 95.9-FM!
