As many of you probably know, Jim Squirrell, a trumpet player from around the Jersey Shore who has worked with various bands and also gave of his time playing with Holiday Express and the Salvation Army, is in desperate need for some serious help.
Jim has had a lot of debilitating medical issues that have progressed rather quickly. He suffers from monoplegia in his right leg and he’s losing feeling in his left leg as well. He also is suffering with digestive problems like gastroparesis, Crohn’s disease, and severe gastritis; and cardiac issues including hypotension, hypertension, blocked arteries and a recent pacemaker.
Jim also has an incurable spinal cord disease that is slowly destroying him. The disease is Syringomyelia (or Syringobublia, depending on where in the spine it manifests itself). Cysts develop inside the spinal cord, absolutely destroying the nerves inside the spine and wreaking havoc on all of the body systems, destroying them and eventually the entire body.
Jim is pretty much on his way to being paralyzed.
On top of all of his health issues, Jim finds himself in extreme financial difficulty and really needs help quickly. Whatever you can help Jim with would be a huge help and greatly appreciated.
Confined to his home and is wheelchair-bound, Jim is no longer able to perform and play engagements and even struggles playing trumpet altogether. Jim needs help getting caught up on some things that are hanging over his head, and we want to make sure we have him with us as long as we possibly can.
We don’t want Jim ending up on the street or worse. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $10,000 to help Jim cover accumulated debts and fees. Please help — Thank you!
