Lincroft: Vote for Local Non-Profit To Be Promoted For Month By Radio Station

Until October 15, Brookdale Community College station WBJB 90.5FM (The Night) is holding an election — for a Monmouth County area non-profit organization to be promoted free on their Mornings on the Night show EVERY morning for a whole month! Here’s but a small sample of the “candidates”:

180 Turning Lives Around, Inc – Supporting and healing children and families affected by domestic violence trauma and abuse

The Arc of Monmouth – Improving the lives of persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families

Because She Is/Marilyn’s Place – A place victims of sexual and physical/domestic trauma/abuse can go free of charge

Common Ground – A center for grieving children and teens after the death of a parent or loved one

Freehold Area Open Door – Food pantry serving Western Monmouth

Fulfill Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean counties

HOPE Sheds Light, Inc. – Bringing awareness on substance abuse to support healthier families and fewer losses in our community

Jersey Shore Running Club – Supports runners and the running community through competitive and social events and support local charities

Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation – Breaking the cycle of poverty, hunger and homelessness through developing partnerships, creating programs and providing grant funding to community benefit organizations

The Kortney Rose Foundation – Fundraising to accelerate collaborative research to find better treatments and cures for pediatric brain tumors

Lunch Break – Provides food, clothing, life skills and fellowship to those in need in Monmouth County and beyond

Parker Family Health Center – A free health care facility where Monmouth County residents who do not have medical insurance or the ability to pay for medical care can be treated

RAFTS (Recovery Advocates For The Shore) – Helping and advocating for individuals and families navigating the journey of addiction and recovery

Redeem-Her – Helping women break free from the grip of addiction and incarceration in order to rebuild and transform their lives

You can also add a New Jersey nonprofit as a write-in candidate with the “Other” option — be sure to include the organization’s mission statement.

Here’s where you can find the ballot. Again, the deadline is October 15 — get voting for a good cause!
