Some NJ Lakes Deemed Safe From Algae Infestation; Newark LGBTQ Center Offers Health Services

Algae blooms, which may sound harmless but in reality are quite toxic, began in June in Lake Hopatcong and continue to spread to other New Jersey lakes and reservoirs, most recently the Manasquan Reservoir in Howell. Here are the ones that are safe: Some of them had been on an advisory list, but testing has indicated that their levels are now acceptable.
