Tickets are on sale for the LIGHT OF DAY WINTERFEST 2019, to be held Jan. 11-21, 2019 at Asbury Park rock venues such as the Paramount Theater, the Stone Pony, the Saint, the Wonder Bar, House of Independents, McLoone’s Supper Club, and the Asbury Hotel. The nineteenth edition of the benefit for the world-renowned Light of Day Foundation will also feature more than 150 performers in Montclair, New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, and Stony Point in Rockland County NY.

The Light of Day Foundation, Inc. utilizes the power of music to raise money and awareness in its continuing battle to defeat Parkinson’s disease and related neuro-degenerative diseases like Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). The concerts and organization grew from a birthday party/fund-raiser held in 1998 for artist manager and music industry veteran Bob Benjamin, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1996

Scheduled performers include The Ventures, Steve Forbert, Albert Lee and Band, Popa Chubby, Willie Nile and Band, Jesse Malin, James Maddock and Band, Jeffrey Gaines, Marc Ribler’s Red, White & Brit Tribute to The Who (featuring members of Little Steven’s Disciples of Sou), Joe Grushecky and The Houserockers, The Weeklings, John Eddie, Remember Jones, Williams Honor, Bruce Tunkel, Joe D’Urso and Stone Caravan, Christine Martucci, Nalani & Sarina, Taylor Tote, Pat Guadagno, and the Billy Walton Band.

The festival has gained notoriety for surprise appearances by Bruce Springsteen in more than half its 18 years, with the most recent appearance in 2015.

Ticket prices range from free to $30. Concertgoers can purchase tickets for individual shows, on an a-la-carte basis, or for all the Asbury Park events. Tickets are available at online through TicketMaster.com, Ticketmaster by phone (1-800-745-3000), and at all Ticketmaster locations. The LightOfDay.org Web site can accept online donations.
